When you want to seed your garden, you usually have the goal in sight of a perfectly even and green lawn. Seeding however can be tricky. It involves perfectly placing the seed into the ground in just the right areas so you end up with a lush, green landscape as opposed to a sparse, barely thriving disappointment. If you’re starting new with no grass whatsoever, seeding requires a proper foundation, and then proper application. The results of a professionally seeded yard will be visible just a couple weeks after seeding. As the seeds sprout, they will eventually thicken and become more closely knit together over time. In the end, while regular seeding may be slower than other methods, it tends to produce a healthier, more even look. Another option for a new lawn is Terra Seeding. Terra seeding combines the steps of adding topsoil and seed into one, laying down a mixture of both at once. The benefit is a quick process, and even landscape, and seeds that will not be blown away. However, if you have a larger area to fill, hydroseeding can be a quick, easy way to get your land green. Hydroseeding involves using a slurry of seed and mulch. This slurry is then sprayed over the ground, being much quicker and more efficient than seed and even sod. Hydroseeding will also yield very quick results – growth can usually be seen within a week thanks to it’s unique mixture.
